The start of a journey

Four weeks ago, I asked my mom, "Mom! Should I learn Japanese or Korean?" That was after the first two days of shopping period and there happened to be a blank space everyday from 11:25-1:10 on my schedule, so I thought, mhm, it's the time to take a language class.

Speaking a ton of languages fluently has always been a dream that hasn't come true as my brain grows slower and slower, but sometimes I'm positive enough to think that, I might be lucky to have a hundred year of lifespan that if I keep learning, I can be multilingual sooner or later. At least I already have Chinese and English, which of the latter is also known as Chinglish, for some reason.

I recalled a few years ago when I learned Hiragana by myself following some videos and a user-unfriendly textbook, and gave up unfortunately as a huge chunk of conversations in Hiragana, Katakana and Kanji came up to me after the rather-short feeling of accomplishment after I memorized all the Hiragana. It happened, but it happens, just like I'm still stretching even though I've tried a million times and can't do a split. I don't work hard enough, and I easily give up, in a certain amount of time; but in the long run, nothing overthrows me.

Accidentally I've been to Japan for three times, from Hokkaido, to Tokyo. I was impressed by the beauty of nature, and the civilization in terms of education and culture of this country. The last time I went to a store in Kyushu, a Chinese shop assistant joked, saying I can disguise as Japanese girl and get involved quite easily if I speak Japanese well enough. A few people have said I look like, or dressed like Japanese girls, which I still wonder why. But it's not a bad thing I suppose.

Back to the question at the very beginning, my mom said Japanese matches my voice better as it's generally soft, sweet and cute, whereas the tone of Korean seems to be low and thick. Hmm. that sounds like right, which reminds me the voice of the characters of my favorite anime that I watched when I was in elementary school: Kinomoto Sakura, Sailor Moon, Haneoka Meimi... you name it. Coincidentally they are all girls that saved the world, which might have influenced my values.

All in all, I love Sakura that blossoms around my birthday, the deer that bite my dress in Nara Koen, the Nama Chocolate and Shiroi Koibito in Hokkaido, and the artsy feeling of Japan that I cannot describe. So here I am.
